Robotex 2013 leiab aset 16. ja 17. novembril TTÜ Spordihoones, Männiliiva tänav 7. Robotex 2013 raames toimuvad robotitevahelised jalgpalli-matšid, folkrace võistlused ja paljud teised erakordsed robotite võistlused. Lisaks toimuvad ka tehnoloogianäitus, töötoad ja loovad konkursid.
Üritus on kõigile TASUTA.
Robotexi missioon on pakkuda kvaliteetseimat tehnoloogiaalast kogupereüritust Eestis. Soovime äratada noortes huvi tehnikaerialade ja teaduse vastu ning olla number üks teerajaja insenerierialadele õppima asumisel. TTÜ Spordihoones aset leidvast projektist peaks eelduste kohaselt osa võtma üle 600 robotiehitaja ning üle 7000 pealtvaataja.
Robotex 2013 kuldsponsorid on Meiren Engineering, ICD Industries ja Technobalt Group.

Interfilm Script Pitch 2013

Friday 15 November | 2 pm - 5 pm | Grüner Salon at the Volksbühne
interfilm Forum, the first edition of the new fringe programme for industry professional attending the International Short Film Festival interfilm Berlin is now accepting entries for our international Script Pitch competition.
We're looking for captivating screenplays and pitches for short films that blow us away!
Win an award of € 1000 from 25 * MEDIA GROUP in this international competition for original scripts and convincing deliveries.
Script Pitch contestants will face our international jury Razvan Radulescu (author/ screenwriter), Sergio Barrejón (writer/ producer), Henning Kamm (producer/ DETAiLFILM) and Bettina Kasten (editorial office/ ZDF, 3sat).
In addition to the Script Pitch competition, all participants are provided with a practical and stimulating workshop programme to accompany the competition. There will be both a workshop on script development to sharpen the participants' creative skills and a seminar on pitching to evaluate the live performance of each contestant.
The entire competition will we held in English.
A Meet & Greet for competitors and the audience will be held afterwards, to maximize the interlinking of creative and industry professionals in an open forum.
As of now, all script writers and interested filmmakers are welcome to apply. Ten contestants will be selected to participate in the Script Pitch competition.

Prototype short script contest
Every filmmaker knows that making movies is a labor of love. It’s art, it’s expression, it’s passion. They also know how tough it can be to break through and get noticed by Hollywood.
Short films have always been a way for filmmakers to put themselves on the map. They use shorts as a way to express their creative vision and show the world what they’re capable of. Quentin Tarantino’s My Best Friend’s Birthday, Guillermo del Toro’s Geometria, Christopher Nolan’s Doodlebug, and Neil Blomkamp’s Alive in Joburg all showed unique visions and helped launch the careers of some of the most important directors today.
But the reality is that many filmmakers never get that far. They could have the next great film idea, but lack the funding to bring their vision to life and have it seen by the people who can help take them to the next level.
That’s where PROTOTYPE comes in. The idea for this revolutionary film competition was born from a desire by creative executives at Break Media and New Regency Productions to empower the next generation of filmmakers with the funding, distribution, and access they need to succeed.
Send us your action, sci-fi or effects-driven short film scripts and tell us how you would envision them as features.
We will select eight finalists and award them $20,000 each to make their short films. The shorts will then be distributed across Break Media’s digital audience of over 70 million viewers worldwide.
One talented filmmaker will win the opportunity of a lifetime: A feature film development deal with New Regency Productions, the studio behind Fight Club, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and much more.
This is your chance. Submissions are open NOW through August 31, 2013.
To enter, all you have to do is submit:

European Short Pitch 2014
NISI MASA – European Network For Young Cinema is proud to announce the Call for Projects for its 8th edition of EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH.

EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH is an initiative aimed at promoting European coproduction of short films which combines a scriptwriting workshop in residency, an on-line session and a Coproduction Forum bringing together scriptwriters and industry professionals from all over Europe.
EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH 2014 will consist of two main events:
1.The Scriptwriting Workshop: 7th till 12th January 2014
2.The Coproduction Forum: 7th till 9th March 2014
NISI MASA is calling for projects from writers, directors and producers (aged between 18-35 years old) with international short film projects in development. Your nationality or country of residence should be one of the member countries of the MEDIA Programme (European Union + Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland). European Short Pitch will also select up to 3 projects from non-member countries of the MEDIA Programme where NISI MASA has a member organisation: Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Russia and Ukraine.
The deadline is 30th September, before midnight!

Baltic Pitching Forum
BALTIC PITCHING FORUM is a unique platform of networking and bringing the newest short film projects from the Baltics into the spotlight.
This Forum creates a space where film directors and producers can present their short film projects in order to attract active European producers, TV commissioners, fund representatives, VoD programmers and distributors.
The Baltic Pitching Forum consists of one-day pitching training and one-day pitching sessions of the selected projects alongside one-to-one meetings with film professionals from all over Europe.
One of the goals of the Forum is to facilitate interaction, cooperation and co-production between short filmmakers from Baltics and the rest of Europe.

Casting dokfilmi
Eilse või tänase Eesti Päevalehe kultuurikuulutusi lugedes torkab silma ebatavaline pakkumine: Šveitsi režissöör otsib oma dokfilmi 20 kuni 30 aasta vanust lapsega paari ja lubab filmi pääsenud paarile maksta 1000 eurot. Selgub, et tegu on igati tõsise kuulutusega ja konkursi võitnud paari armastuse lugu võib parimal juhul saada osaks mainekate filmifestivalide programmist.
