Young Filmakers under 30 years of age have until August 28th to enter a 30 second film with the topic "Dreams" in the eDward International Film Competition at the eDIT 12 Frankfurt Film Festival.
Entrants are invited to prove their talent and creativity with a 30 second film. There is a total of 4,000 euros in prize money,the winner takes 2,500 euros. The competition is open to young filmmakers born after January 1st 1979. Participants are encouraged to take part individually or in teams.
The topic of the Competition is "Dreams" and the submissions will be judged on the following main criteria: the thematic relevance of the content, visionary perception, original idea, visual language and the execution through camera, effects, editing, sound and image processing. Participants must send in a film of a maximum 30 second duration, the usual time format for commercials. The form of the entry (feature, animation, hybrid etc) is up to the individual but the master must be available on MiniDV or Beta SP (PAL).
The three best entrants will be invited to receive the eDward Cup at the eDIT Festival Award Ceremony in Frankfurt between 4th and 6th of October.
