Uneton48 sel aastal ka Eestis

An exciting new film event is coming to Estonia this year!

Unetu48, the 48 hour short film competition that's been making waves in Finland, is expanding in 2012 to include Estonia and Sweden.

The Unetu48 challenge: to make a film, from script to screen, in just 48 hours.

Part of a worldwide 48 hour film festival phenomenon, Unetu48 provides filmmakers with an opportunity to showcase and hone their skills in a high pressure yet fun environment.

Competition films are screened in local cinemas, and judged by film industry professionals. This year finalists will have the opportunity to pitch a film concept to a panel of major television stations.

Every year there is a large prize pool for successful competitors, with past prizes coming from well known industry companies including Angelfilms, Generator Post, Avid and Genelec. The 2012 prize pool totals over 25,000€.

Team registration is now open for Unetu48 2012, which runs over the weekend of May 18-20.

Spread the word - with a little help, Unetu48 can provide the same boost for Estonian independent filmmakers as it did for their Finnish counterparts.
